About DevTools.wiki
DevTools.wiki is an automatic catalog of 630+ developer tools, updated every 6 hours. Our goal is to give developers transparent, comparable data so they can pick the right tool without hours of research.
What makes us different
- Lock-in Score — a 0-5 rating of how difficult it is to leave a tool, covering data portability, API compatibility, and proprietary formats.
- Migration Difficulty — an honest assessment of the effort required to switch from one tool to another.
- Pricing Transparency — we surface free tiers, entry prices, billing complexity, and whether pricing is publicly available.
How it's built
The site is built with Astro and hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Data is sourced from the GitHub API, npm, and Hacker News, then processed into structured JSON files that feed the catalog.
$0/month infrastructure — static generation + edge hosting keeps costs at zero.
